BUILDING CLIMATE RESILIENCE
for people and nature.
There is no more significant and enduring impact for life on this planet than to protect biodiversity in the face of climate change.
At Climate Corridors, our team enables the survival of life by establishing landscape-level solutions in the most biodiverse habitats on Earth.
WE ARE CREATING CLIMATE CORRIDORS TO SAVE AS MUCH BIODIVERSITY AS POSSIBLE.
Climate Corridors is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit.
Our Impact to Date
Humanity depends on biodiversity for food, water, health and survival. Nowhere on Earth is more biodiverse than tropical rainforests, home to half of the terrestrial species on the planet.
THE PROBLEM
Over 62% of the world’s tropical forests lack the
connectivity needed to withstand climate change.
— Senior et al., 2019.
Already, as the climate warms, biodiversity is migrating up-slope in search of cooler refugia. Creating climate corridors now is one of the most efficient actions we can take to facilitate that inevitable migration for as many species as possible.

The Climate Corridors
Solution
To adapt and survive rapidly warming climates, biodiversity needs to move upslope to cooler climate refugia. Habitat connectivity from low-elevation forests to mountain tops is key to this.
By creating climate corridors, we connect landscapes along elevational gradients to facilitate mass biodiversity migration.
This is the most cost-effective solution to build climate resilience for people and nature at scale.
Climate Corridors “is building a model that should be replicated widely … throughout the biodiverse tropical regions of the world.”
– Andrea Meza Murillo, Costa Rica Minister of Environment 2020
IT IS NOT TOO LATE
Climate Corridors is a solution-driven model. By taking action we can:
1 ) Safeguard countless threatened species
2 ) Enhance long-term habitat integrity at scale
3 ) Build climate change resilience for people and nature.
The Pillars of our Climate Corridors Model
To implement solutions at scale, we:
